I am passionate about building things that people can use and will make their lives better.
Most recently, I was a web developer at MediaSauce in Carmel, Indiana. I spent most of my time there building sites with WordPress and ExpressionEngine and enhancing usability and presentation with jQuery and CSS. My position at MediaSauce required exceptional levels of communication and continuous professional development. I went from being a fresh college graduate, who had very little practical experience, to a professional with nearly two years of experience in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment.
Through college and beyond, my work experience has taken me to many places. I have gone from doing pro bono work for a non-profit to assisting people in IUPUI's computer labs to full-blown development at an advertising, design, and development shop.
Associate Web Developer
Developed websites with WordPress, ExpressionEngine, and PHP

Staffing IUPUI’s computer labs, assisting students and staff with technical issues, and completing software/programming training

Wrote Cucmber/Webrat tests, maintained company’s presence on Twitter, experimented with Ruby on Rails by creating own application

Website for a non-profit organization that promotes and hosts amateur outboard boat races in Indiana, Michigan, and Ohio
Rebuilt website from static HTML files to use WordPress for content management
Upgrading site for race pre-registration
